About Angela

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to find out a little about me. I started out as a shepherd, spinner and crafter offering my natural fibers and finished items for sale and slowly changed my focus to punch needle rug hooking.

I'm folk art fiber artist dedicated to all types of rug hooking and specialize in punch needle rug hooking. I am a juried Kentucky Crafted fiber artist and certified punch needle rug hooking instructor. I have over 20 years experience developing and producing rug hooking designs, the Breezy Ridge Rugs Gripper Strip Punch Needle Frames, Breezy Ridge Cozies, and my latest invention the Breezy Ridge Yarn Gauge.

I have been on a creative journey all my life. I have been fortunate enough to have talented women teach me the love of textiles and the skills to produce them. These women not only taught me how to create things but also gave me the greatest gift, Creative Encouragement. Through the years I have continued on my journey, learning “how to”, all the while searching for the perfect outlet for all my skills and energy. After a while, I knew in my heart I had “found my calling”. This traditional craft of punch needle rug hooking, offered me an outlet to use a combination of all my skills. I am very grateful to be able to work every day doing what I love.
